What type of camera are you looking for?

Point-and-shoot or a dSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).

The Sony Cybershoot is just your average P&S camera, small, light and compact.

A dSLR for example, like the Nikon D40 or the Canon EOS 350D are dSLR type and are much bigger in size but deliver alot higher quality images.

Just spoke with a TSC IO. She was a pretty nice lady and answered all my questions. Apparently, mine and my spouse's AP were approved on 10/17/2007. We still didn't receive the APs. The online status still shows pending. I believe my attorney may receive the AP docs.

I've asked her about my Name Check and Fingerprint. According to her my name check was initiated on 8/9/2007 and it is pending. My FBI fingerprint check came back on 9/10/2007.

ND: 08/01/2007
EAD Self Card Received: 08/23
EAD Spouse Card Received: 08/25

I usually get 40$ or max 50$ bill per month. But from last few months i am getting bill around 180$ per month. I live in a similar size apartment as you.. :mad:

I was totally shocked when i get the bill for the first time but i think i am getting used to it :(:confused:

I'm in California, My I-140 was approved by Texas service center.
I-485 was filed with Nebraska but transfered to texas service center.
Now my I-485 is pending with Texas service center.

I filed my I485 mid 2003. I missed the boat end of 2004, some where in 2005 and then in 2007 when my dates were current. My pd is in 2002. People who filed with me have been approved and they are ready for citizenship next year :mad:, while I got my 6th EAD approved

There is a problem with my wife's date of birth certificate. The brith certificate holds the original date of birth (May 1973) where as the all other ceritificates like school records, passports is having different date of birth (Dec 1973) (usually in India we used to change the date of birth to get into the kindergarden with some early date of birth). I am unable to get the Non-availability certificate as the original birth certificate already exists. Correcting the date of birth all the certificates and passports is not possible and it may took a long time as we need to go through court.

I am planning to submit the affidavits from parents alongwith the other certificates like 10th Mark sheets, etc., Pls advise - Is it ok?.

Otherwise I can submit the original brith certificate alongwith affidavits from parents and relatives saying that the date of birth is mistakenly registered.

Please help.

Hello,

I am in serious trouble. Sometime ago I tried to switch my I-140 from EB3 to EB2. Now I get NOID to deny 140. Something related to prevailing wage (lawyer has actual letter). In my LC the offered wage was OK for EB3 but low for EB2. Lawyer says he'll try to reinstate EB3, but not sure. Has any one of you been able to reinstate EB3 140? Please help...

Ask the lawyer to give you a copy of the RFE.

Pending long means do you approximately how much time is considered as long???
I mean pending for 2 years or 5 years or ????


Heard this from our company lawyer .... uscis will issue RFE for all I-485 applications that are pending for a while to make sure the applicant still has the job offer. He got this from a very reliable source. I dont know how true it is...just sharing what I have heard.

In a perfect world you would return your employers 8K and he would give you your last two weeks salary.

But we all know the world is not perfect.

Imagine if instead of you benefitting from the accountant mistake were on the receiving end and you were underpaid by 8K in 2 years. Would you still say that it is the accountant's and company's problem and nothing to do with you .

Basic purpose of our forum is to create awareness/educate legal Immigrants so that they can get help for there cause at the same time we get some help from them to push forward this movement. Recently we are seeing big inflow of queries because economy is bad our brother and sisters getting in deep trouble.
How we can voice our concern in this bad time key is to find the solution.
My thoughts on this................
1) Get the help from our Indian/Chinese community on all levels like city, state and national level.
2) We will run advertisement campaign about, who we are and where we stand. This adv. could be air on Lue's show or even on other popular shows...
3) We need lobbying in congress .I know we have this in this place but we can show our strength through legal Indian/Chinese Immigrant plus Indian/Chinese American citizen then we got big weight in our plate.
4) To get all of the above and may be more we need Money and Man power to execute this.

finally status for EAD and AP changed to " documents mailed".

But yesterday i received a letter from USCIS related to the fax I did before.
and as per that letter, my request to expedite my EAD and AP is not valid(?????????????) so they sent my fax back (print out). I really dont understand this!!!!!!!!!!

waiting for EAD & AP hopefully I will get it tomorrow.

Here is the scenario.

If 6 months has been completed after your I-485 is filed then you can port out your process. You can either file AC21 or not. But to work for another company you need EAD. Now here you have mentioned that you have been working for Company B. What is your status with Company B? I guess, H1B.

If the company B can file for an AC21 at the earliest, that is the best option you have with you.

Just in case, if your I-485 is less than 6 months, situation becomes little sticky. Though the law or rule does not say anything specific, USCIS has been little lenient with the lay off and other situations recently.

So once Company A gets winds up, you can claim the process by stating that the company went out of business. There are cases where this was approved recently. Earlier there were exemptions at all.

You all need the co-operation from Company A on this. If they report to USCIS that you guys never joined there or made the company lose money, then none of the process will not stand as per law.

I personally know a unique situation, even after the company reported against the employee, the USCIS issued Green Card.

It all depends on the knowledge of the Officer who takes the case. Basically it is roll of the dice.

Do not take chances. Do it in the legal way as much as possible.
