If per country limit of 7% stays, how much relief would it bring in terms of
priority dates for India/China born individuals?
I do not think there shall be any significant positive movement in Priority dates. Even if annual numbers go to 290K from 140K and dependents are excluded. It is about 4 times meaning if earlier we had 10K for India including sposes meaning 5K effectively, now it will be appx 20K effectively!
Think of number of applicants from India and China and think of the flood coming when all backlog is cleared! I dont think we should expect big jump in priority dates.
Am I getting too pessimistic?

databases for CSC and NSC are aligned and then notices are sent automatically. Unless that happens one has to wait to get the FP notice.

I fear a backlash as by now ewr would have made my company to be marked for secondary scrutiny. this is how the story unfolded

meanwhile XYZ is asked to sign papers ..

I hold a H1b Visa but did not work after coming to US.
Can anybody guide me regarding my current status.
My H1 was approved in 2007 quota and i entered US in march 2008..but was not successful in getting a job and my employer is not running any payroll..
can anybody help me with this??

There are people from EB3 with PD from 2001 ( yeah, TWO THOUSAND AND ONE) who are maintaining their EB status diligently by having a steady job and waiting and waiting and waiting for their GC to come.
Now, you coolly come and say what you have just said and have the gall to ask for advice.
The same applies to other poster 'nehas' also who had a similar question.

Although I don't want to spend any more time thinking about this so called "prediction", it is not because I am from India that I am calling this bad news. For any category if dates retrogressed to how things were before the June 07 visa bulletin, it is not good news to me.

How about Lawyers reducing their fees?
We are all paying so much to lawyers and that fees is much higher than what USCIS charges.
Why can't lawyers run a campaign or post on their blogs to reduce their fees.

A friend of mine, with similar credentials like yours (from what i can get from your post) got his GC thru EB2-NIW. He didn't have to go through lengthy labor process. His lawyer recommended against filing for EB-1. Please contact a lawyer and hope for the best

since you are going to be an entrepreneur on EAD, your circumstances are kind of special (i.e. a GC or citizen entrepreneur doesn't have the extra baggage we carry). so u can join your state chapter in addition to the SBA.

The H1B transfer should be ok based on the fact this person is with in 6 years. If the transfer is after 6 years based on either LC pending or LC and I-140 approved. The same should hold good for the transfer.
This will not affect the greencard process even if USCIS finds this person changed jobs using H1B. The greencard is filed for future permanent job. According to USCIS, the term permanent means FOREVER. They can revoke the approved greencard if you change jobs immediately after approval.
If you indend to change jobs use AC21 before greencard approval or wait for a year after the greencard approval.

I also got RFE from VSC for AP reg PP clear copies. In my case, lawyer asked to send me clear copies of bigraphic info which means first and last page of PP showing photo and name and other info. I scanned and sent color images to my lawyer. So strange that all VSC people are getting this RFE.
Online status simply shows, recieved and pending.. Does not reflect the RFE at all.

You need to go before filing labor in order to be eligible for one year extension.
I do not agree with this. H1 extension is allowed if perm is filled one year before completion of 6 year on H1 + any recapture time.
