Your I-94 SHOULD have the same number as the old one!
Whether they give you a new white and stamped or the printed I-797 I-94 is a moot point. The validity date and the number is what matters.
I was once given a new I-94 after visa stamping in Canada at the Derby Line border post in VT with the same I-94 # as the old (and printed I-797 I-94) for a $6 charge.
You saved $6. Go buy nice milkshakes for the family and be cool.
It is a non-issue.

The officer did not put a seal with the expiry date (normally they put a seal on I-94 mentioning the visa type and expiry date) on the right part. If I am surrendering this part while leaving the country,how can they determine if I overstayed my I-94 date or not since there is no expiry date on the bottom right part.

People need to understand that there are some legislators who might want to push legislation favorable to us. They can only do it if they can convince other legislators who are on the fence that:
1) A lot of good people are affected by this. (legal,peaceful,high skilled etc) The crowd there(YOU) on Tuesday will speak to this.
2) They mean business, if we do not act they might leave and we need to act NOW to keep them here.(if many thousands of them can come from all parts of the country, they must be serious)
3) These guys have the support of their employers.(they got/took/were allowed time off from work)
Now in these points, can you see how a friendly lawmaker can use a big successful march to convince his colleagues? This will be like a massive tonic to all the lobbying IV has been doing behind the scenes.
Last year when hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants took to the streets did you see the impact on legislators? One big difference here is we are legal. That will leave a more powerful impact if it is big.
This is a small price to pay, and it will help you tremendously to speed up the green card process. Lets show solidarity. Every one of us who goes to this will feel proud of the change we manage to bring. If this makes the national media in a big way, I am virtually certain we will get a favorable resolution to our issues. A lot of forces are with us here. Just look at the 13 governor signed letter. Just look at how hard the big high tech. companies are pushing this.

You are really lucky! I guess since my application was fresh I could not efile. Or I read many posts about how paper filing is way to go to get faster approvals. I think with USCIS everything seems unpredictable.
I am really hoping that mine comes soon.
I e-filed my AP application on Dec 29 at TSC and got the approval email yesterday ... Got approved in 2 weeks.

I learnt that for couple of years 1999 and 2000, the unused visas were recaptured by some law passed because of which the no of Visas issued were 39 & 47K the last couple oo years. Isn't it worth trying for recapturing of the unused visas between 2001 & 2005 ?

This question put me to shame. We are trying to become US citizens and we do not even know Havaii is a US state.
I am not sure what purpose do we serve by being rude to somebody on the forum. People might not be as savvy about immigration as some of the regulars here and it never hurts to ask.
From my owen experience, I went to Puerto Rico and everybody told me you dont need a passport to go there. While boarding the plane back from PR, a couple of CBP guys acame and started asking everybodies citzenship and then asked me to show them the visa. So it never hurts to be safe, even when u are travelling to a remote state or territory.

Unless of course you are an illegal maid from El Salvador, in which case you can apply for your green card in person at any USCIS window by 9 am, and pick up your green card by 4 pm the same day. You have the option of premium processing, where if you pay $5 extra, you get along with your green card a U.S. passport, voters regsitration card, perpetual drivers license and a pack of "Hershey's Kisses" (or an actual kiss from the USCIS officer, your choice)

What should I do now ? Will this H1 extension rejection become an
obstable in getting I-485 approved ? Will there be any problem in getting
third extension of EAD if I-485 is still pending ?
Should I appeal this case by submitting all the end client contracts ? But I have
used EAD ...........I have good relation with Employer A and am assuming he will
not revoke my I-140.
Experts please suggest........
EAD extension is solely based on Pending 485, so you should'nt have any problem.
Since you started working on EAD invoking AC21 i don't think you are on H1 status anymore.
Again i can be wrong. Please take an expert attorney's advise.

There is no grace period for finding a new h1b employer - but generally USCIS overlooks gaps of 1-2 months between employment assuming you are able to transfer your H1B to another employer soon

It is difficult to get H1b without client letter. Also many consulting companies stopped H1b because of RFE and denials. It is a good idea to try job to 2 to 4 more weeks.
Sorry to know about your layoff. What I would suggest is try to get a Consulting company ( maybe desi ) to transfer your H1. That would give you some leeway to find a project again.

I got my FP notice and got the FP notice stamped in FEB 2008
The stamp reads
Biometrics Processing Stamp

Biometrics QA Review by ________ (officer's signature)
Tenprints QA Reivew (officer's signature)
Does this mean that I have security clearance ?
Basically, what does the stamping mean ?

I'm a July 2nd filer (EB3, ROW, PD Aug 2005) and I got my receipts, fingerprint notices and husband's EAD on Aug 23rd. Still no AP for either, and no EAD for me (but I'm the H1-B, so it could be worse... at least my husband now has a job! :D )
