My i485 was filed in july �07 and I got my AP in oct. �07, which is valid up to oct. �08
I want to go to India for 9 months, can I stay for that much period?
I will enter in USA in feb.� 09 on my H1-B VISA STAMP ONLY, BUT NOT ON AP.
Is this work? Any questions at POE about the long stay outside USA?
Any adverse effect on GC process? Pl. help.

if your LLC is sponsoring your GC petition, then it is not possible. Your EAD will have certain conditions for employment, usually in the same line of work as the Labor Cert. Unless of course if you are a dependant EAD, then there are no restrictions on your employment opportunities.

You said that by AUG 2008 bulletin, your dates are current.. Which date we should refer to? Date from I-140 or date from I-485?

I am a labour substitution case pd feb 2002 filed 140 in June at NSC. My 140 has been pending for more than a year. Now recently I received 2 year ead.
Does this imply my 140 is approved too???
Is it safe to work on ead of one gets 2 year ead with pending 140.??

I do not understand why they grant EADs when your I-140 is not approved. The reason I bring this up is if a person loses his/her job and your I-140 is revoked, the EAD is useless. You cannot use AC21 for that because your I-140 is not approved.
Nebraska center is doing nothing regarding I-140 EB-3 (India) apps. The I-140 date at Nebraska has beeing moving by 1 day per month for the last 7-8 months. It is stuck at March 30th 2007. Moreover, the latest "as of" i.e. "report" date that you see on Nebraska is July 31st 2008. It is not current (Sept 2008) as many of you may think.
I understand that they receive 1000s of applications but that is no excuse for incompetence. As of July 31st, it was taking them 1 year and 4 months and now it is 1 year and 6 months to process I-140.
Why don't they re-institute expedited I-140 approval?

Hello,
I have a H1B visa stamped on my passport for Company A. This visa is valid till Nov 2008 and will need renewal after that.
I recently changed my company from Company A to Company B. They have filed for my H1B transfer.
Question 1] Will this new H1B for Company B be valid for 3 more years (Till Feb 2011) or will this visa have to be renewed in November 2008 (remember by visa stamp for Company A is valid till Nov 2008)?
Question 2] What if I want to travel to India this October (remember by visa stamp for Company A is valid till Nov 2008)?? Can I still travel on my old visa stamp or will I need to go to embassy again in India for a new stamp

I know that PERM labor gets expired if one does not file I-140 within 180 days of labor's approval date.
I am wondering if DOL has any procedure to revive expired approved/unused PERM by filing some sort of request/appeal or by paying some sort of fees etc. or if not ,then one files a new PERM by referring the old unused approved labor for the same job and same person then DOL can give an expedited approval.

A google search of them brings very bad reviews of them, where employees have posted never join them. But it is hard to know if it was posted by people who just hate them or if they are genuine employees.

From over an year, I have been working on EAD. Recently I resigned from my job, however I am still looking for a new job. I have a few questions related with EAD:
1. Even after leaving the company, is it legal for me to stay in the country and for how long?
2. Can I look for any kind of job on EAD or there is any restrictions?
3. Is it possible that my former employer can cancel my EAD?
4. If I find a new job, do I have to use immigration lawyers of my former employer to help renew my EAD, travel document etc. from time to time or I can hire another immigration lawyer?
