Hello,
What type of camera are you looking for?
Point-and-shoot or a dSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).
The Sony Cybershoot is just your average P&S camera, small, light and compact.
A dSLR for example, like the Nikon D40 or the Canon EOS 350D are dSLR type and are much bigger in size but deliver alot higher quality images.

I just spoke to an Immigration Officer about the status of my pending I-485 application using InfoPass, and all she said was "it is waiting for a visa number". She seemed to be very ignorant of general USCIS regs and laws, but she called somebody and this is the answer she came up with.
My category is EB2-India with PD of Feb 2004 which is current for June. So, my question to all the gurus here is: WTF does this mean "waiting for a visa number"? i told her that my PD is current, so there is no need for waiting, but then she told me that my application was received on July 2nd 2007 and I need to wait. I tried explaining that 485 receipt date has no relation to PD, but it was a lost cause.
Any comments from the wise on this board?

According to the article this is a follow up of the 2010 employer-employee memo. Insome cases they are giving the 221g before even reviewing the docs. Strangest things is H4s now have to provide almost as much docs as a H1b - really tough for the married people among you.

Yes, same thing happened to me also. My nephew who applied got OCI but when I applied for my daughter the application was rejected and sent back. I then got PIO.
Per the rules to get OCI at least 1 of the parents nationality has to be non Indian. The logic is that if both parents are Indians even if kid is born in US and travels on US passport as kid they have until the age of 18 to choose.

Yes you can, but you need to go thru the labor and i-140 once again.... Yes you can use the PD from EB3 to EB2 .. But do check what kind of proof you need to do so ......

I agree most probably you were granted the visa and I can understand why you did not ask the lady whether you were granted the visa or not. It can become very intimidating and painful when dealing with people who use such positions to harass others. They tend to put all their troubles onto the folks who have to come before them helpless. There are avenues to complain but really does that help?
Again I very strongly feel that since the lady did not give any specific reason to deny your visas (which is often required) nor did she give any yellow/blue/green whatever papers, you/family were granted visas. So cheer up and remain very optimistic. Let us know when you recieve the visas.

When I and my wife gave DNA, the volunteer who collected told that they collected 20 k so far and it is tough to get a match, and it might be only Indian DNA may match to Vinay.

Has anybody changed from Attorney to No Attorney? G-28 form has instructions on how to change an attorney, but there is nothing to cancel it altogether.
I've done it. Well, basically my attorney sent a notice to the USCIS, but I think you can do it too by sending a simple letter to the Service Center. There is no form for that as far as I know.

I changed jobs early this year with a 20% pay cut and with different titles and with different client type (private vs public). Got GC last month. No RFEs. I did not inform USCIS.
Before switching jobs, I checked with my attorney and made sure that I am covered, made sure that my previous employer will not revoke my approved I-140 and made sure that my current employer will cooperate with the process. Last month my GC got approved.

If your H1's job requirement is a bachelors degree, then they cannot reject your H1 stamping.
When i changed from F-1 to H-1B, my employer filed my I-129 as if i had a Masters, then i changed employers , my second employer filed my I-129 under my Bachelors only. There was also a gap of my H-1 Activation and F-1.
For the semester starting august i did not pay the fee, since my H-1 was approved an H-1 was Active from October.
i think my approval will depend on my Visa officer nad i will try my luck in dec and i am planning to go to canada for my stamping and in any case i get it or not get it i will fly to india from canada.
i will also talk to a lawyer before leaving to stamping regarding what will happen if cant come back to US in 4 months, regaring what happens to my credit and loans if my stamping gets rejected.

I agree with you that it is a random process but the processing date that is shown indicates that all the cases prior to that date have been "served". So, TSC-Oct 14 means, cases received on Oct 14 and later are currently being served. Hope this helps.

Don't worry about GC, all these calculations are useless. Based on your luck your GC will be approved, not based on all these logical things.
If you invoke AC21, that might trigger GC approval also. :D

Nice shootin' Anders! I've done a lot of trial and error shutter speed experiments at airshows, for example, to get blurred propellers and backgrounds, but that requires tracking. I did a similar experiment for a friend who wanted a picture of his car, and I think each situation is so unique you just have to take a lot of shots to get the effect you want. I took ~100 frames to get this:

7% limit is for the each category (like EB 7%) then seperate 7% for FB.
Can the EB used all the numbers of india (25,620) OR it can use only 7% of the EB only means (9800)
